I cut my teeth on Dungeons & Dragons: Advanced Second Edition at the wee age of 6th grade and haven't put the dice down since. Gaming and game stores in particular made it possible for this awkward if ruggedly handsome (and modest!) introvert to feel comfortable in social settings and able to do something crazy like open a gaming store of my own with my unparalleled wife Allie.

I'm a local boy from Lakeview with a college degree in drawing comic books (no, really!). I also do some web design on the side. I love Jesus, and promise not to preach at you. I'm also an unbiased dad of the coolest girl in the universe.

I'm a former electrical engineer. I worked in disaster recovery and church transformation ministry for four years after Katrina before opening +1 Gaming with my husband Jeremy. We met at a game shop!

I envision +1 Gaming as a gift to the community, providing games and a great place to play, for families, friends, and geeky gamers. Tabletop games are not only fun; they can exercise and connect our creative and analytical sides, while giving us a reason to spend time with real people.
