Pokémon State Championship

Are you the greatest Pokémon player in Louisiana? Find out March 8 at +1 Gaming! Registration is from 9 to 10:30 am. Juniors & Seniors play free; masters are $20 entry!

State/Province/Territory Championships tournaments are another high-value Championship Points event that can help players earn that coveted invitation to the Pokémon World Championships! As with other Championship Series events, players can also earn Pokémon TCG booster packs and cool Pokémon merchandise.

The Pokémon TCG SPT Championships do not require an invitation or qualification of any kind. All players in good standing are welcome to participate.

What You Need

You will need your Player ID card if you have one. If you do not, you can get one at the event. You will also need a legal deck and a deck registration sheet (PDF).

The State Championships follow all standard Play! Pokémon rules. Parents may want to check out theParents’ Guide to Pokémon.

Directions, Lodging and Food

+1 Gaming is located nearest to the Clearview North exit on I-10. The store is behind the shopping center, facing Manhattan St. If you are coming from the Clearview exit, we suggest turning left on Houma Blvd. (it has a light) and taking your next right onto Manhattan St. The shopping center has ample parking, and there’s street parking for overflow.

For chaperones, we’ll do our best to provide extra seating beyond player needs. There are many outlets around the store and free wi-fi. It’s a long tournament, so bring something to do!

There are hotels along the Interstate at the Clearview and Causeway exits with a variety of price ranges. Here’s a map to help.

We will offer pizza at $2 per slice starting after the first round. There are also ample restaurant options within blocks of the store, including vegetarian choices. Ask any staffer for recommendations.
