We have an official army list for the Steampainter 24 Hour Challenge! Our own Eric Ernewein will paint 100 points of Warmachine figures in 24 hours, and you can bet on when he’ll finish. All proceeds go to the New Orleans Children’s Hospital.
The next Board Game Saturday is on July 9! Bring your board games, invite some new folks to come play, and rock out. This month’s board game tournament: Ticket to Ride at 6:30 pm.

We are taking preorders on Magic 2012 booster boxes now through Saturday, July 9. Preordered boxes are $100 plus tax, and must be paid in advance. The last day to reserve your boxes will be at the Prerelease Event. The boxes will be available Friday, July 15 (we open at Noon).
Magic 2012 releases July 15, but you can get packs and play early at the Prerelease Event. For the Prerelease we’re holding two Sealed Deck Tournaments starting at Noon and 2pm. Entry is $30, which includes 6 booster packs and an entry fee for prize support.
Every fourth Saturday +1 Gaming hosts a 2000-point Warhammer 40k tournament. Registration starts at 10:30 am, and the first round kicks off at 11. Entry is $10.
The rules are the same as last month.
Imperial Armour will be allowed but only what is listed on the FW web site for 1&2. IA3 can only use Tau, IA 4 Tyranids 5-10 is as is. The stipulation is that you must have a printed copy of all rules and points you cannot simply go off of what army builder lists. Also if a Codex has an item listed then it is used as the codex description and points cost. Also no fliers, super heavies, or creatures with mass points.
All models must be WYSIWYG. Painting is not required.
Questions can be emailed to Ray at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Coming August 6th is Steampainter! A charity event where 100 points worth of Warmachine miniatures are painted in just 24 hours. Folks will get the opportunity to donate money and place guesses as to when the challenger finishes the entire army. But, before we get there we need a little help from you our audience. Up for vote is choice of what army will be painted that day. Will it be the Four Star Syndicate? Or the Highborn Covenant?
Voting will continue for a week and the winner will be chosen! Shortly thereafter an army list will be posted to help everyone with their guesses.

+1 Gaming wages war in the 41st Millennium every Sunday at 2 pm. We’re kicking off a Rookie League for all the new and lapsed players in the area. Learn the game, or relearn for 5th Edition.
The league is divided into four-week tiers. The first tier, starting Sunday, June 12, is for 750-point armies. Every tier raises the army size by 250 points. To participate, simply play three sanctioned games on Sundays during the four-week tier. There’s a $5 league due for each game, and we’ll turn all the dues into prizes at the end of each tier.
Game Days are Standard format tournaments. The tournament will be Swiss-style, with the top 8 players after the Swiss rounds advancing to the single-elimination finals. Where necessary, the standings after the Swiss rounds will be used to determine final order in the standings.
