Monthly Archives: May 2011
June is another awesome month at +1 Gaming. We have special events for Malifaux, Magic, Warmachine/Hordes, Munchkin, Warhammer 40k, and plenty of regular events, too. But first…
Malifaux players, bring your crews on Saturday, June 4 at 4 pm for open play. The tables are reserved for Malifaux games throughout the afternoon and evening. This is the perfect chance to meet other area players, play, paint, and plan future games. It’s also a great chance to warm up for the Malifaux tournament at Bayou Wars 2011.
+1 Gaming hosts an official Steamroller tournament on Saturday, June 18 at 10 am. It will be 35 points and we will have the Steamroller coins as prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers.
Another awesome board game Saturday is coming up! Come and play all day on Saturday, May 21. This time, Jeremy and I will offer demos through the day, and top off the evening with a Settlers of Catan tournament starting at 5 pm.
For the next three Sundays we’re teaching new or curious players how to play Warhammer 40,000. Demos start at 2 pm. We have a Space Marine and Ork army available for use, or bring a 500-point army. It’s the perfect chance to learn the game and meet the other players in the area. Sign up below.
New Phyrexia launches today! We have booster boxes at 10% off today, as well as intro packs and fat packs. Friday Night Magic is tonight at 6:30 pm, and the Launch Party is Saturday, May 14, with a sealed deck tournament starting at Noon.
Battlefoam makes the perfect foam tray again with their new line of half-trays for the Warmachine/Hordes bags, custom cut for the new battle engines. The Khador Battle Engine tray is out now. It’s a 4-inch tray that takes half the width of a Warmachine bag.
You can order through us with the Special Orders link up top, or call us or stop in. We match Battlefoam’s prices, and get orders in about a week.
Welcome to the 41st Millennium! +1 Gaming holds its first Warhammer 40k tournament Saturday, May 28. Registration starts at 10:30 am, first round starts at 11. It’s a 2000-point, 3-round tournament; entry is $10.
The new season of D&D Encounters, Dark Legacy of Evard, starts Wednesday, May 11 at 7 pm. We’ll have two games running for a maximum of 12 players. Bring a 1st level character or grab a pre-made one at the table.
As a business and as a community, +1 Gaming will adopt a local non-profit, school, hospital or cause. We received a number of nominations, so please vote in the poll to help us narrow it down. You may choose up to two. Depending on what the results look like, there may be a second poll between the top choices.
