Monthly Archives: November 2010
We are forced, assuredly for the last time, to move the opening date back to December 18. We expect to be open before then. We will let you know as soon as we open. It is less than three weeks away!

Z’otz Cafe on Oak St. is running a Warhammer 40,000 league. You can get the details from their Facebook page.
And the sign is up! They’re actually re-doing it to get the gold border, but they put this up for now to make sure we had a sign for our opening.
Our Grand Opening extravaganza has been officially moved to Saturday, December 4. But fear not! We’re about 95% sure we can open before the end of the month. Rather than fret over the exact date, we’ll just open as soon as possible and do the celebrating on December 4.
The Short Answer
Want a detailed character portrait with a comic book vibe, but your artistic limits are challenged by stick figures? Look no further! HeroMachine 2.5 will crank out some highly specific full-body characters, if you’ve got the patience to play for a bit.
Our build-out is moving forward again! You’ve probably read about our permitting woes. We’re finally able to file our permits, and our contractors dig back in Thursday. We are pulling out every stop to squeeze out our November 20 opening. I won’t lie to you, it doesn’t look promising, but it also doesn’t look impossible.
We’re gearing up for Volunteer Work Day 3: Terrain Day. Bring your crafting skills (or willingness to follow directions). We’ll make a bunch of basic terrain for store usage, based on methods from a few of our biggest helpers. Lunch is on us.
Our sign for over the door gets installed next week. Buras Signs sent some photos, and I had to share.
FYI: We know it’s missing the gold border; they’re getting that added on before installing it. We’re just excited to see some physical evidence.
We added a special order form to the site, up top. It’s a permanent feature of the site for now, so there’s no time limit. Special orders will be available no sooner than opening day. Otherwise, we should be able to get almost anything within a week, barring shipping problems or out-of-stock suppliers.
It took approximately forever, but we’ve finally worked out a customer rewards program. +1 Gaming won’t have just any program though: we made a game of it. Heroes of +1 Gaming (that’s you) will earn XP, overcome challenges, gain levels, and find treasure. Read More
