November Opening

We tried every angle, but it looks like we have to delay opening once more, into November. We’re guessing we can open around November 20. As we get closer we can firm that date up.

Believe me, we tried. The last thing we wanted was to have to delay again. Unfortunately, our permitting problems are insurmountable. We can’t finish build-out until the inspector says so.

In the meantime, we’re getting every non-structural thing done now so once the inspector’s done we can double-time it to opening. We rocked the table building at Volunteer Work Day 2 (more on that in the future), and we’ll finish up those odds and ends in the next week. We’ll also get the floors done.

If you want to help, the best way is to get on the pre-order email list. Just email and ask to be put on there. Whenever we need a hand or three, we email that list. There’s a good chance we’ll be at the store Saturdays, too, dealing with odds and ends.

Thanks, everyone who’s helped get +1 Gaming closer to opening. The New Orleans area gamer community is truly spectacular. I keep meeting people who’ve already heard of the store. When the day finally arrives, it’s going to be phenomenal.

We’ll keep you posted.

Hey, now that you’re not opening in the middle of the Fall tournament season, it makes it more likely that I could set up an SCA combat demo on your grand opening day.

    Sad :(
Well I can run a D&D Miniatures tournamnt on that afternoon and possibly a D&D Encounters or D&D Gamma World Encounters that evening.
