In case you hadn’t checked it out, our forums have a Find a Game board. Right now there’s a Sunday D&D 4e game, a Pathfinder game, and a no-canon Star Wars SAGA game looking for players. If you’re looking for players or a game to play in, post your pertinent info and see who bites. It can be anything, too, not just RPGs.
Quick note: our main site and forum logins are best pals now. Logging in in either place logs you in the other, vice versa, and the “Remember Me” check box will, in fact, remember you (at least for a year). Now your forum posts and site comments stay linked to your profile properly.
I’m personally on the paranoid side of online privacy issues, so with the new Facebook features here I wanted to share some tips to securing your Facebook privacy. I’ll also give a run-down of what a third-party site or app can actually get from you.
A little while back we had a poll about adding some Facebook features to the site. As polls will, it got a mixed response. Most folks were in the middle, some were really interested, some were pretty turned off. Obviously we can’t please everyone, but I think I found a good middle-ground.
What gaming websites do you like? It can be resources like Obsidian Portal or Hero Machine, forums or communities like Nola RPG or DakkaDakka, news or review sites like RPGnet or BoardGameGeek, or whatever else. Local stuff like events or businesses are very awesome, as well. The best sites will go in our website’s footer.
We tried every angle, but it looks like we have to delay opening once more, into November. We’re guessing we can open around November 20. As we get closer we can firm that date up.
Just a reminder, pre-orders end tonight. If there’s something you want on opening day, fill out the form at the bottom of the pre-order post.
We will take special orders once we’re open, so don’t worry too much. This is just a handy way to make sure we’ve got what you’re looking to buy.
We’ve got a new poll about Twitter. Allie and I do not currently tweet, but we understand a lot of folks do. We want to know if it would be valuable to you folks for +1 Gaming to use Twitter or not.
For the comments: if we tweeted, what sorts of tweets would you like to see?
The time has come to order inventory, so we are taking special requests. If there’s something you want to order, now’s the time. Pre-orders will be available on October 23.
Cut off time for pre-orders is Thursday at midnight. We’ll place our orders Friday morning. If you place an order after that time, it may not be available on October 23. Read More
We’ve run aground of a problem, and we want to fill you in on all the details so you can have a clear picture of what’s going on. We think we can keep to the October 23 date, but it’ll be hard.
